>One pill makes you larger, one pill makes you small….

>*giggle* Just so happens that I have an atc and a 12×12. (The Octopode on my ATC is Alice.) Perfect, eh?

I finally took some time to do a layout with photos of Hubby and Smokey from Easter. This is what happens when you let DGD pass out the bunny ears. She sneeks up behind Papa and just puts them on his head.

Have a great weekend!

>Rare Redux

The layout in the previous post has been haunting me. I wish I’d been wearing something blue. The red sticks out like a sore thumb, so I had to bring in some touches of red to make it look like it belonged. I also used some pearl fabric paint, to make the scrolls. They’re on transparency, super easy to do. The butterflys are punched out of paper, then a stamp on transparency, folded, and hit with a heat gun to set.

This is another page for my Art Journal. It’s my first gel medium transfer. I wish it had come out a little darker, and the photo makes it disappear even more. It was fun though, and you can bet I’ll be doing more of the technique. Practice makes better. 😉

The image I transferred is of two people riding a winged horse. If you’d like to see the original image I used, it’s the second image in this post Karen, at The Graphics Fairy, has tons of amazing images to share!!
Have a great weekend!

P.S. If you wouldn’t mind letting me know, do you see the Blogger icon in your address bar, or little Belle?  And what browser are you using. Thanks a mill!

>Back to my roots

> *Happy dance* I finally scrapped a couple of layouts. This first one didn’t end up exactly as planned.

I was at a crop (more about that another day). We sent out for Chinese Food. I was eatting and scrapping, ahh,,,heaven on earth.

I should have known better, I dropped a big ol’ piece of chop suey right on the photo! I tried to clean it off, but it smudged the photo. Determined to finish, I cut the flowers, added some watercolors cause the color wasn’t quite right. (It’s closer, but still not right,) I’ll go back and hit it with some acrylic paint, or try remixing some watercolors.
This is our little ritual, Hubby and I greet each other, when the other comes home, and Smokey always has to join in!

This next one was fun. I used a new Magnolia stamp that I popped up off the black pocket, there’s some priviate journaling on the tag that’s in the pocket. I’m too cheap to buy Copics, before I hit the lottery, so I used mostly watercolor with a touch of Sharpie and gel pen.

>Goodbye Joe!!

>Today is August 8th. It’s a special day for me. A young person I knew many years ago died on Aug 8th. I think of her every year…it’s an easy date to remember.

The day evolved into being my very own “New Years Eve”. The day I evaluate life. Many years I’ve made big changes on that day. *waves to a couple of ex-husbands*

Two years ago , Hubby and I decided to quit smoking on that date. With a little help from Dr Rob, and medical science we’re still smoke free!

Today I thought it was about time to commemorate it. Here’s the result…

This was a fun layout. I incorporated some Zentangles! I’m just a beginner, but zentangels are awesome, and fun!!

I’ve got one more Zentangle project I did recently. Lesson learned: practice the tangle before adding it to the finished product. Still this little box is just perfect for carrying my Zentangle kit!

I hope everyone had a great weekend. Me, any day I get some scrap time is a good day!

>Gotta love a man…..

>…who packs your lunch!

I couldn’t begin to tell you how loved I felt when I opened my lunch box to find this!

Cheese, it’s not just for eating anymore!!!

It took me a long time to find the right man. Persistence pays. 🙂

>Scrappin’ Again

I’ve kinda been away from actually scrapping for a bit now. The newest members of the family needed there own pages.

This cat just showed up on our doorstep and never left. Cinder got his name because the first night we invited him in he went straight to the fireplace and used it as a litter box!

Then there’s Wolvie. The sweetest dog since my Sparky.

Wolvie is one year old and needed a new home. I’m so lucky that my friend Danielle was in the right place at the right time and called me.

His former owners just didn’t have the time to spend with him. He’s definitely a people dog. I’m so grateful that this worked out. Thanks Brittney!!
